Gregory E. Skillman is a principal of the firm. He graduated from the University of Oregon Law School in 1987 with certificates in Environmental and Natural Resources Law and Ocean and Coastal Law, and has been practicing law in Eugene, Oregon since that time. His practice emphasizes environmental law, employment and labor law, and commercial litigation.
Before practicing law, he was a staff member for the U.S. House of Representatives Interior Committee, responsible for timber, land management and natural resource legislation. He also holds an undergraduate degree in History, with a Teaching Certificate, from the University of Oregon (1975).
Prior to establishing Skillman & Fogarty, Mr. Skillman was a shareholder with the Eugene firm of Luvaas, Cobb, Richards and Fraser, P.C. Mr. Skillman's work there and with previous firms includes the ligation experience highlighted at right.
Mr. Skillman is a member of the Lane County and Oregon State Bar Associations, the American Bar Association (Labor and Employment, Tort and Insurance, and Environmental Law sections), the American Trial Lawyers Association, the Roland K. Rodman American Inn of Court. Mr. Skillman currently serves on the Oregon State Bar Disciplinary Board, adjudicating Oregon attorney ethics charges.
