Danna C. Fogarty

Danna C. Fogarty is a principal of the firm. She graduated from Gonzaga University School of Law in 1979 and practiced law in Pennsylvania, Missouri and Kansas, for fifteen years before returning to her home state of Oregon in 1996.

Her practice has encompasssed insurance defense litigation, including auto and premises liability, medical malpractice and professional liability, as well as commercial and environmental litigation and insurance coverage issues. She served as an Assistant Attorney General in the Commercial and Environmental section of the Trial Division of the Oregon Department of Justice.

Prior to establishing Skillman Fogarty, Ms. Fogarty was a shareholder with the Eugene firm of Luvaas, Cobb, Richards & Fraser, P.C. Ms. Fogarty's work there and with previous firms includes the ligation experience highlighted at right.

Ms. Fogarty is a member of the Lane County and Oregon State Bar Associations, the Oregon Association of Defense Counsel, the Defense Research Institute, the Amercian Bar Association, the American Trial Lawyers Association, and the Roland K. Rodman Amercian Inn of Court.

U.S. District Court, District of Kansas: prosecution and settlement of municipality million dollar property damage claims against boiler inspection company arising out of the explosion of a gas fired boiler operating City of Coffeyville electrical plant.

Scott v. Lane Transit District
Lane County Circuit Court: defense verdict in trial of personal injury claim against local bus company arising out of motor vehicle accident.

Smith v. Romania Chevrolet
Lane County Circuit Court: defense verdict in trial of personal injury claim against auto dealership alleging malicious prosecution and intentional infliction of emotional distress.

United States v. Conservation Chemical Company
U.S. District Court, Western District of Missouri: assisted with depositions and trial preparation on one of the pioneer environmental cleanup cases under CERCLA and SARA.
